Changing Gods

I love the Ephesians prayers. I have prayed and taught from these scriptures for over 30 years. Personalizing them with my own name the names of my husband and children and countless others. There is power in the words God spoke through Paul thousands of years ago. There is power in us as we speak these same words Holy Spirit gave him to pen for us.

I am personalizing this passage today for a dear friend and her son. Who are walking through the beginning stages of a very serious emotional, physical and legal battle. I am expanding that personalization to each of us as we together agree for God and not our own strength, wisdom, knowledge or ability to manifest a change in the thinking processes of our daily lives. I would encourage you to personalize these passages for your own use.

The power of this declaration not only can, but will, open our eyes of understanding to new truths and give us understanding, producing wisdom. I believe Knowledge and Understanding are the parents of Wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to correctly apply knowledge to a present situation with understanding beyond the natural information available.

I have NO desire to pray for the sake of releasing religious words. My desire and dedicated goal is to fill my mind with what God is saying...release it into the earth... after asking Holy Spirit when? And where? Fully expecting the delivery of that which was ordered by Heaven, to be delivered into my real time earth space.

This situation with my friend and her son is one of multiple thousands. Our children, as were we, have been exposed to the enemy that is trying to destroy the natural God design for intimacy. This sexual assault has been given authority unwittingly by parents who are ill equipped to see the hidden enemy who is still after the same thing he was after in the garden. Our intimate, innocent, fellowship and intimacy with God, as our friend. He is trying to disqualify us in our own minds. To cause our opinions of what we think of ourselves to build strongholds that cause us to hide from God! To cause us to live our lives with depleted power and authority! His goal is to steal our identity as Son’s and Daughter’s of the Most High God!

We are no longer the created ones who have been sent out of the garden because of another's choices. We are the Redeemed Ones, His life was exchanged for mine. We have been engrafted into the beloved! A price has been paid for me and you. The blood of Jesus was enough for God then and is still enough now!

God sent Adam and Eve out of the protected place of the Garden of Eden. They were sent from a place with boundaries into a place with no boundaries. A place where they could not in a life time physically put their feet on all that was created. The Bible doesn’t say their punishment for their choice, stripped them of their authority, and dominion over the created earth.

The result of eating caused them to die to the innocence of being in the manifest presence of the Creator as Father. They were no longer unaware of their need to care for their own life sustaining needs. In His Presence all was provided freely and abundantly. In His Presence there was no knowledge of need, fear, anxiety, or other negative aspects of living. In His Presence they lived in the moment knowing all was well!

When they listened to a voice other than God's they changed gods.

When Eve listened to the serpent, which she had dominion over, she allowed his reasoning and questioning of what God had said to influence her decision. She was entertained by the serpents conversation. When Adam who was with her also ate, he let her influence and reason lead him to also eat. When they listened to another voice other than God’s they changed gods. They left the place of innocent dominion to be dominated by their minds reasoning. They now had the burden of making life choices instead of just living in the abundant eternal provision of the One and Only True God!

The serpent had enticed them with a fruit. With free will they ignorantly excepted though their own reason the fruit, it was pleasant to look upon. They freely took it into their bodies.

They went from a place where total authority was theirs, a place physically accessible to them, a place where they had everything they needed at their fingertips. To a place so vast they could not cover it in a lifetime. A place where they had to search out their food, kill to clothe themselves, find shelter from the elements, a place of the unknown, complete with their new found ability to know evil.

Fear and anxiety were born in the Garden of Eden, but had to survive outside of the Presence of God. Faith is born in the mind, through the thinking processes. Fear and anxiety are also mind children. They only way faith and fear exist at the same time is just long enough for one of them to kill the other.

Faith is the picture in my mind that I have great expectation for. Anxiety is the picture in my mind I have great fear of. Faith will produce what I believe. If I can image it. I can manifest it.

Faith is the sperm when intimately encountered will fertilized the egg of hope and produce the living result of that I have pictured in my mind, through imagination. Imagination by definition is creative power!

Fear is the sperm that when intimately encountered will fertilize the egg of anxiety and produce the living result of that which I have pictured in my imagination.

I have the power to create what I will, my will being the conscious choice to use my mind to image a thing and use my God designed authority to create that which I imagine.

I can create from fear or faith!

Jesus came and shed His blood for a final once and for ALL ransom for me and you! He walked with God intimately, only saying and doing what He saw the Father saying and doing. He walked in the earth from His Spirit, not his soul, or the dictates of His body.

Jesus communicated with the Father. He used His will, mind and emotions, to successfully see, hear and do the things the Father was saying and doing. His unseen interaction with the Father produced the tangible products of healing and deliverance. His emotions were openly seen. He was moved with compassion and healed them all. He touched the untouchable, he ate with the sinners, he allowed a prostitute to wash his feet with her tears and dry them with her hair. Not because His feet were dirty, but because she was so grateful for her deliverance, He kept a woman caught in adultery from being physically stoned, He turned water into wine! He multiplied fish and bread for the hungry that had followed him around all day.

He didn’t do these things from a place of being the physical son of God. With inherent power because He was conceived by God. He did them from the place of understanding that He was the son of God, living in the body of flesh, practically encountering needs in His daily living experiences. Knowing that the power of the Holy Spirit resided in Him.

Have you ever noticed that Jesus never performed a miracle that was self serving? He never drew a crowd to prove His popularity. He never healed the multitudes to build a mega ministry. He never took an offering that he didn't return more than was given. The boys fish and loaves had twelve baskets full left over! Even the wine at the wedding was credited to the bride groom. When we finally recognize that we too are the son’s of God, with inherent power gifted to us by God, we will also be moved with compassion and heal them all. We might even turn some water into wine. But will we walk away not wanting a following?

Adam and Eve lost their virginity of innocence in the garden. They were beguiled or groomed and inappropriately touched by the serpent not in their bodies but in their soul. The place that all thinking, reasoning, and emotions originate from. They immediately felt shame and regret. They hide themselves. They tried to cover their nakedness, which just a few seconds before they were not even aware of.

Can you relate? I sure can. So many times we live in a state of shame and regret at the memory of being seduced or molested spiritually, emotionally, or even physically. We live reproducing offspring from fear and anxiety. Our earth as we know it is replenished with these serpent inspired children.

We were created to replenish the earth through the faith and hope that God has given us. We are to replenish the earth as sons and daughters that innocently trust God, but maturely walk in the authority given to us to rule and reign in our individual lives.

I believe that we are living in a most awesome time in the earth! It is awesome if we are walking and talking with the Father in the reclaimed garden of our soul. Using my mind to interact intimately with Him, receiving wisdom in the knowledge of Christ and His purpose for coming in bodily form to the earth. It is awesome if we too are being moved with compassion and healing or meeting the needs of those we come in contact with daily. It is amazing if we are looking at this earth from our seated positions in the Heavens through Christ Jesus. It is like returning to the Garden of Eden from this position.

It is totally horrific and terrorizing if we are looking at this earth from the out of the garden position. The fear, anxiety, perversion, lying and deceit has stolen our ability to recognize that we have the authority to do something about it. The earth view just sees the apple/fruit being marketed by the serpent. The Heavenly view sees the serpent and says “A talking, creeping, serpent, yes, he belongs under my feet”. Then uses that authority to step on him and not allow him to sell his distortions to those we love present with us. All the while reminding him, and ourselves of what GOD REALLY SAID!

We have become accustomed to the no boundaries zone of the outside of the garden position. I want to walk with God in such a way that I can ask Him to make me a special place in Himself that has boundaries, lovingly taught and shown to me, boundaries that teach me until I understand how I was formed, function, and am to rule in this life because of One Christ Jesus!

A place where I don’t worry about food or clothing, houses or land, bills or debts. A place that doesn’t deny the need for all of those and the integrity to function with a good reputation in my daily life. A place where I as a little child trust that my Daddy has this all worked out for me. A place that I lay down at night and my sleep is sweet and long enough to bring healing and strength to my body. A place where my mind is at rest.

Knowing that no matter what the right here right now circumstances are that the right here right now God has already made provision and has called me His Own! The place that trust is so established with Him that no matter who lies to me or tries to seduce me I know that my Daddy will expose the true dangers and motives of others. A place where I am mature enough to stop the serpents from talking and occupying my garden. A place where I function as a King and Priest in this real time life!

A place where I can openly and honestly coexist with others with overflowing thanks to God for each person. Even those that are trying to take my earthly freedoms, abuse my body and mind. Those who are children of darkness, who are in need of someone to use their authority to release The Light into their darkness. They too occupy this boundary less earth. They have authority over their own choices and decisions.

I want this garden God is creating in me to be so in demonstration that they will come and ask me why I do the things I do and get the results I get. I don’t want a following, I just want those who I encounter to be able to ease drop on me and God and decide for themselves if they too want God to build a garden in them. .

The Ephesians prayers are powerful...

The Ephesians prayers are powerful passages that allow me to use my authority to cover those who are blinded or struggling ignorantly with daily real life situations. Myself included. They allow Holy Spirit to do the work and keep me from judging and condemning others. They take me off the throne and put Christ Jesus in clearer view. They reveal Jesus and turn the focus toward Him and not the situations of this life.

(Words in parentheses added by the author) I pray these passages aloud inserting the name of those I am praying for.

Ephesians 1: 16-23. (Passion Translation NT)

16 my heart is always full and overflowing with thanks to God for you(place the name of the one you are praying for here) as I constantly remember you in my prayers.

17 I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you(name of person or persons) the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him(God) through your deepening intimacy with him.(God)

18 I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!

19 I pray that you(name of person or persons) will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power

20 that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

21 And now he is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming!

22 And he alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the church. God has put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and has given him the highest rank above all others.

23 And now we, his church, are his body on the earth and that which fills him who is being filled by it!

Ephesians 3: 14-21 (The Passion Translation NT)

14. So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah,

15. the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth.

16. And I pray that he would unveil within you (name of person or persons)the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.

17. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you,(name of person or persons) and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.

18-19.Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you(name of person or persons)until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

20. Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

21.Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!

Praying these passages will empower us to release the fear and anxiety we feel over those we love who are making really serious and dangerous life choices. Holy Spirit has always been present with them. He knows their thoughts fears and dreams. He can speak from a place of truth because He was present. He is the One in the earth that will give them the wisdom and revelation they need to come out of the pit they may be in. He is the one called along side of us to help. He is the comforter and the legal assistant that will take the enemy into the courts of heaven and establish our rights in the earth.

May you never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and the person you are praying for to accomplish all that is necessary to set you and them free.
