Jesus Didn't Pray He Would Say

In Matthew 16:16 Jesus is asking His disciples two questions, who do men say that I am? And, who do you say that I am?

In Matthews account, he records Peter as saying, “ Thou art the Christ, The Son of the living God.”

    Matthew 16:16 (KJV)
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Peter was saying that Jesus is THE Anointed chosen divine priest, ceremonially set forth as The Son of THE Living God! Ruling by divine right of being The Son of God. Jesus then validates the truth as coming from His Father in Heaven.

As Christians we are In Jesus, The Christ the anointed One, the Son of the living God. We also have been given the right to be Son’s of God. We are the chosen leading candidates in the official position as heirs, Sons or Daughters of God.

John 1:12 (KJV) 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

In Matthew 16:16 Peter had privately recognized by the Spirit that Jesus was the Christ this was revealed to him by the Father. Then a couple verses later in Matt.16:22 he is rebuking Jesus from his human soul emotions, not wanting these terrible things Jesus had revealed about his process of going through the cross to happen to the One he loved. This process that would reveal Him to the whole world as The Christ.

Matt.16 verse 23 (KJV) Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

In Matthew 16:23 Jesus tells Peter, get behind me, line up and don’t look at things from the position of satan who doesn’t know me as The Christ. Don’t look at me from your human emotions, what you observe, but by the revelation from My Father, God.

Jesus had turned and was speaking this to all of the disciples there with Him. In essence Jesus was saying be lead by the Spirit and not from what you presently see or the emotions these things have the ability to invoke in your human flesh nature.

Jesus had just told Peter in Matt.16:18-19 on this rock of revelation, the revealed understanding that Jesus was the Son of the living God He would build his Ekklesia (a called out legislative governing body, functioning in the earth) and the gates, the access or entrance of hell, the abode or dwelling place of the wicked would NOT over power in strength against this revealed truth of Christ the anointed One, Son of The Living God! His authority came from His Father The Living God, and as His Son. Jesus was telling them that He was functioning in the earth from this position of authority. His chosen called out ones, were to be the first of the Ekklesia, that would establish laws and govern according to this foundational revelation. They were to govern everything in the daily life they lived from this position. If Jesus was healing the sick, they too were given power to heal the sick. If Jesus was raising the dead, they too were given power to raise the dead, if Jesus was casting out devils, they too were given power to cast out devils.

I will give unto you the keys, or the ability to unlock the kingdom of heaven, and what is disallowed in heaven you can disallow on earth. What is loose or available in Heaven will be available and accessible to you in the earth.

Matthew 16:18-20 (KJV) 8 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus told them not to reveal Him as the Son of God. I believe He wanted His life to exhibit this position in the earth among men and allow the Father to reveal Him to whom every He chose.

John 6:38-46 (KJV) 8 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. 41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

Sons and Daughters are birthed from this revelation. The disciples were to assist Jesus in administrating over the revealing and demonstrating of the Son of God manifest to mankind in the realm of men. Jesus came down from Heaven to do the will of the Father. He came so the Father could reveal Him as the Son and those who believed, adhered, cling to and are changed will also be raised up in the Sonship position. In verse 44 Jesus said no man could come to or reconize Him as the Son unless the Father draw him or reveals who Jesus is to them.

The diciples were in hands on training to become Sons of God themselves. They were in real time, living out the establishing of the Kingdom of Christ on the earth as it is in Heaven. They were to be the first graduates of the class of kingdom building! Jesus came as the Son of Man to be revealed as the Son of God! His kingdom is built on the son’s of men realizing and functioning in the earth as the Sons of God. Christ came from His position in Heaven. Jesus was born again as a man son. We are born again as God’s Sons.

Joseph was chosen to love and safeguard Mary as the impossible to man grew in the womb of a woman. He had to believe, adhere and trust what the Angel told him. His courage to marry, watch over, protect and be responsible for that which grew within Mary is almost unimaginable to me. But I have never had an Angel of God manifest with a message from the very mouth of God! Yet! The God seed growing in Joseph’s promised bride was soon to be evident to those around her that she had experienced intimacy. Joseph protected Mary’s very life and the Son of God within her by taking her as his bride. Mary could have been stoned to death for being with child outside of marriage. But, Mary carried a greater stone within her the very cornerstone which the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth would be built upon! She carried a King who would be The King of many kings to come.

Joseph loved Mary but chose to not carry out his lawful right to consummate the marriage until Jesus was born. We have no record in the scriptures that tells us how Joseph felt. We have the written story of the consequences that followed the birth of that which was not his. We have the account where Joseph saw, heard and moved on the words of the Angel and protected Jesus from being slaughtered before He could fulfill all He had been birth through women to accomplish.

In Matt.16:24-28 (KJV) 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Jesus lived on earth as the son of man. His Father was God, but He lived on earth as the son of Joseph a man. We live on earth as the sons of men, but when born again we are sons of God and now have the right to rule or govern in the earth as the Sons of God!

In Mark's account of this event found in

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

I believe Jesus was speaking here from His adoptive right as a the Son of man, Joseph’s son. Coming in the glory or honor of His Father is referring to His Father God. With the Holy Angels is speaking to His position as Son of God, as King over the Kingdoms of the earth and His Army of Angels that will establish Kingdom by removing His enemy off of His place of governing authority. Jesus reigns in Heaven and in Earth by his birthright. Heaven as the Son of God, earth as the son of Mary with all his adoptive rights as a human man!

The last phrase Jesus says in Mark 8:38 …”when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

I don’t believe Jesus was referring to the catching away or what we refer to as Rapture here. I believe He was speaking about His ongoing days on earth and also the glory, honor, absolute perfection of His position given by the Father to function with the holy angels here on earth. I believe He was speaking of The Kingdom of God manifesting in the earth as in heaven.

In Mark 9:1 (KJV) And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Jesus then six days later took Peter, James and John up into the mountain and was transfigured before them. He was changed into something new!

Mark 9:2 (KJV) 2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

The Father spoke to them and announced Jesus as His beloved Son and said to hear Him. Peter, James and John saw the kingdom of God come upon Jesus with power! They saw Him change from functioning man into functioning Son of God!

Mark 9:6-10 (KJV) 6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. 7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. 8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. 9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead. 10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

I believe this was Jesus Ordination Ceremony! He was transformed before their eyes and then in the later part of verse 7, “ This is my beloved Son: hear him.” I believe God manifest as the cloud and decreed in their hearing His beloved Son! God didn’t just recognize and announce the Son he gave a command for them to hear him! Jesus was Ordained, set our in ministry and given power to function as the Son of God on the earth as in Heaven. This was God setting Jesus in to exemplify what it looked like to govern in the earth as God governed in Heaven.

He came down from the mountain and immediately demonstrated His power over the deaf and dumb spirit in the young boy. He demonstrated the kingdom of heaven manifested on the earth with power! He demonstrated His coming into equal partnership in the family business. Satan had been cast out of Heaven and now Jesus cast the devil out of mankind! The devil has to have something with authority in it to exhibit power out of it. So does God. The difference is God will not decieve, manipulate, or overpower you. The devil has to blind you to keep you dumb so you will not reconize and speak from your position far above principalities, and powes when seated in Christ Jesus!

Jesus did not pray, asking the Father to heal the sick or cast out the devils. Jesus would say or speak to the devil or condition and it obeyed Him. Jesus prayed or communicated with the Father through what we call prayer. Prayer was the foundation of His intimate relationship with the Father and His continual communication with the Father kept Him in the positon of power that belongs to Son's of God. He functioned as the Son by His birthright position as the Son. He was the Son functioning in the authority of the Father, by position, but His ability through the working of miracles, demonstrated His power as the Son of God. Holy Spirit with out restraint was the delivery driver of the product produced. Deliverance!

To use a natural illustration. If my husband Dennis owns a business with our two sons. Dennis is the founder, and creator of that business. Our sons have been given legal and equal ownership with their father as an inheritance. This position is to be activated at a time designated by their father when they will begin to function in a position that is equal to the position their father has. Dennis as the founder has been there since the inception of the business. The boys were born into and given equal ownership of the business, but had to grow up and mature to the point of having the ability to understand how the business functions. Upon reaching a level of maturity, through the development of the relationship with their Dad they have learned the business and can be trusted to now run the business together with their Father. They each have equal say in what happens but each has a different function. They are placed into the position when Dad decides they are ready and able to handle all aspects of the family business.

Dennis is the creator, founder and final decision maker. Through their close and constant communication Gage takes product orders and dispatches the orders with the full authority of the creator and founder. Gage communicates with suppliers, prospective buyers or partners. He represents the product for the family. Ryan communicates with the dispatcher and knows which truck he is to use to deliver a specific order. Ryan delivers the orders to the natural location where the product will be put to use. They are each one equal owners, but function in the area of their expertise and skills. Dennis and Gage's positions and jobs are not tangible product. They move words about that go to the correct department, to create the product, pull the product, position it for delivery. Ryan’s part is more hands on. He has to touch, carry and deposit the packaged ordered items at the location given. He is hands on with the tangible product.

Even if manufactured, ordered, and delivered the receiver has to unpack the product to gain access to the benefit of that which was delivered.

So many times like babies unwrapping Birthday gifts our interest is caught by the packaging and the product is forgotten. I can starve to death playing with the shinny wrappings and never partake of the food contained in the package which was sent to sustain my life.

This father in Mark 9, was desperate to gain access to the product that would save his Childs life. The disciples did not have a successful delivery. So the father of the boy went to upper management. He made the report Your disciples couldn’t deliver what we desperately need.

Mark 9:21-22 (KJV) 21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

The boys father was looking for someone with greater authority to help them. The disciples had the authority but had not yet grown into the position where the ability was manifesting to that degree.
    .
    Mark 9:23-27 (KJV)
23 -- Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

“Mark 9:23-27 (KJV) 23 -- Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Jesus told the father of the young boy. If you can believe, by a certain inner and higher exclusive privilege and the law of soul trust with the minds reasoning abilities and emotions. If you can believe in Jesus and His ability to aid either in obtaining or in doing something you need. Then all things are possible mightily empowered to him who takes this position!

Mark 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

    Mark 9:25-27
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

The boy’s father replied with a desperate heart cry! Lord, I believe, I trust You, will You help me where my faith is weak! The father of the boy trusted the integrity of the product manufactured by the Father, he was appealing to the distribution manager, and received delivery of product through the ability of Holy Spirit! The unwrapped package of deliverance was then applied to the young boy and the results were witnessed by all present. Jesus took the boy by the hand, lifted him up, revealing that the product delivered didn’t kill the one who received it. Nothing like demonstration to boost business!

Jesus immediately acted. He rebuked the foul spirit with his words saying exactly what His authority as Son of God gave Him the power to do! He used His position to order this spirit to not enter him again! The spirit obeyed!

Jesus didn’t pray for His Heavenly Father to do something, in demonstration He said something. He called the foul spirit by its function, commanded it to come out and not to enter him again. The foul spirit responded with evidence seen on the young boys body. The body appeared dead, BUT Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up to function upright and in the reality of his new present position.

    Authority said:

Mark 9:25-26 (KJV) Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

The dumb and deaf spirit responded:

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead

The boys father placed a request or a product order for authority! Authority showed up and the ability of power that comes with the authority manifested and demonstrated the product!

The only place I could find that Jesus prayed before He said. Was in John 11: 41-43 this is the passage about Lazarus dying and Jesus coming to raise him back to natural life. We see this as a prayer but the passage in John 11: 41 states Jesus said, then in verse 43 it reads…when He thus had spoken, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

John 11:40-46 (KJV) 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. 45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. 46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

Let’s look a bit closer at verses 41-43.

Even in this passage He wasn’t asking the Father to do something. He was thanking the Father that He always heard Him when He spoke something. Jesus was acknowledging that God’s power was the source and for the purpose of the people present having an opportunity to believe and trust that God had sent Him. He then spoke with a loud voice and released this power invested in Him from His Father and commanded Lazarus to come forth!

His authority as Son, spoken into the earth realm, released the ability within Him of Holy Spirit and that power raised Lazarus from the dead.

Jesus had the Spirit without measure. I believe that if Jesus had not called Lazarus by name the same spoken word of power would have caused all the graves in that place to open and all the stones to roll away!

John 3:34 (KJV) 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

I am convinced that when Jesus wept in verse 35 of John 11, He was crying out in His spirit with a sadness because they didn’t yet see what it meant to know who He was. The Son of God had not been experienced in the realm of their everyday experience to this degree. They hoped He could heal Lazarus but they didn’t yet know that He had power over death!

Jesus gave to us this same power.

Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Mark 16:15-20 (KJV) 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mark 16:16 Jesus said, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Jesus was saying, the one who believes, adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and is baptized, changed like a cucumber is changed into a pickle by the continual contact and immersion in the pickling liquid, of the Holy Spirit shall be saved, healed, delivered, protected, kept safe. He will be saved delivered from the penalties of the Messianic judgment and the evils which obstruct our receiving deliverance through Christ Jesus.

He that does not adhere, trust in, and rely on Jesus. The one who gives mental assent, believes with his intellect, but isn’t changed shall be damned, condemned, declared unfit and sentenced to punishment.

Mark 16:19-20 (KJV) 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Jesus said to preach The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand or is NOW! We who believe adhere, trust in, and cling to His name and are baptized, immersed and changed shall experience these signs following them. They will heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, if we drink any deadly thing it will not hurt us, we will lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover! He who doesn’t believe, adhere to, trust in and rely on the name will not be changed and they will be condemned and sentenced to punishment and declared unfit for use.

As Sons and Daughters of God we will demonstrate the nature and abilities of God in the earth we live in. It is His power given freely to us and He has commissioned us to freely give it away. Sons and Daughters are changed they are pickled! They now function not as the cucumber but as the changed cucumber which is now know as a pickle! Cucumber = sons of men Pickle = Sons of God

Christ is seated at the right hand of God. We are seated together with Him. As we go forth in our scope of kingdom influence we are to preach or share everywhere we find a need and as we go forth the Lord will work with us to confirm His words with signs manifesting and validating that we are Sons of God and joint heirs with Jesus!

We find it clearly laid out for us in Ephesians 2:1-18

Ephesians 2:1-18 (KJV) 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I, Sharon who was spiritually dead in my sins and trespasses. He has made alive! In the past I walked according to the course of this world system influenced by the prince of the power of the air, the spirit of disobedience. Together with others who had corrupt conversations based on lusts of our flesh and mind. We were by nature children of wrath and disobedience. Having impulses of anger and compulsions to get even.

BUT GOD! Rich in His mercy, and great love. Even while I was dead in my sinful ways, he made me alive together with Christ the anointed One. He has raised me up together with Him and made me to sit together in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus with all of His authority and power of position.

So that as the ages come He might show the exceeding greatness of the riches of His grace and His kindness to me through Jesus Christ the anointed One!

It is not in my own strength that I sit with Him but it is His unmerited favor given by God doing through me what I cannot do myself. It is not my works or good deeds lest I take the credit. I am His workmanship, His designed original. Ordained and created in Christ Jesus from the beginning that I should walk in the good works of Christ Jesus! I function in good works from my seated position in Him in the place of authority given to me by the Father because the finished work of the Son I too am a Son!

Because of being Gentiles in the flesh we were without covenant, without Christ, having no hope, without God in this world. BUT NOW in Christ Jesus I who was far off am NOW made close by the blood of Christ.

Christ who is our peace, who has made us one and broken down the middle wall that separated us, has abolished through his flesh sacrifice the enmity, the very reason for opposition, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances. Christ in me and I in Him, He has made the two as ONE NEW MAN, making peace paying the penalty for my sin with His innocent and sinless blood. So that He might reconcile both God and man in one body by the cross. He did away with the division the enmity. The reason for hatred and opposition between man and God through the cross. He came and preached peace to me even before I was born and to those who were already in the earth.

For through Him, Christ Jesus I have access by One Spirit to the Father! I can become a Daughter of God because of Jesus blood and Him bearing my sin even before I was born into the earth. My physical birth was not a birth of my will or choosing but my new birth and position is an act of my will, my free choice to become the Daughter of God!

Jesus took my place and paid the blood price to redeemed me. So that I might sit in His place equally partnered with Him! We were in Him when He was born as a flesh man, we were in Him when He walked the earth, we were in Him when He went to the cross, we were in Him when He was buried and resurrected, we were in Him when He went into hell and we were in Him as He took those keys and made a show of satan openly, we were raised with Him and now sit with and in Him in the position of authority at the right hand of power beside the Father! We are now eligible to be in the Family Business, of kingdom builders!

I have been born again by the spirit and the blood. But I must grow into a mature child of God. The Father will declare my Sonship and set me forth when I am mature enough to function in the earth as His representative. I must grow in relationship with Him and when I am ready He will establish His same authority in the earth through me as it is in Heaven.

His words are my words. His ways are my ways. His power in demonstration is my power in demonstration. I will only speak what I hear my Father speak from my position in Christ and He will cause the demonstration in the earth that will bring honor to Him. Christ Jesus will be lifted up and all men will see the Fathers love for them and be drawn to the Father!

I believe we are in mass about to be set forth and acknowledged as co labors together with God in the family business. The earth groans for us to function in Gods planned stewardship to tend to this earth from the position as Sons and Daughters!

I long for the day the Father will say these are My Sons and Daughters, when you see them you see Me, when they speak it is as I who have spoken. I am waiting for the day when they will say she is her Father’s Daughter, she looks and acts just like Him!

Then a couple verses later in Matt. 16:22 he is rebuking Jesus from his human soul emotions, not wanting these terrible things Jesus had revealed about his process to happen to the One he loved. This process that would reveal Him to the whole world as The Christ. Jesus says, in the next verse of Matt.16 verse 23 (KJV) Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels sunk)to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one's self, batheto overwhelm - Not to be confused with 911, bapto. When used in the New Testament, this word more often refers to our union and identification with Christ than to our water baptism. e.g. Mark 16:16. 'He that believes and is baptised shall be saved'. Christ is saying that mere intellectual assent is not enough. There must be a union with him, a real change, like the vegetable to the pickle!
